TERMS OF SERVICE

Vehicle Pick-Up

Pick-Up Time

  • For your convenience, there is no set time to pick up the vehicle. Call at least 24 hours in advance to schedule your pick up time.

Eligible Drivers

  • Any passenger over the age of 25 with a valid driver's license can operate the vehicle, as long as RUISI AUTO SALES INC is notified in advance, their name appears on the rental contract, and they have signed the rental agreement.

Payment

  • Payment must be received in full at pick-up.
  • Credit Card Authorization form must be signed and dated by the person listed on rental Agreement.

Security Deposit

  • A refundable security deposit of $1,000 is required upon pick-up of the vehicle. You may use your major card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover) or pay in cash. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept checks or AMEX

Operating Instructions

  • Complete instructions for the operation of the vehicle and appliances will be given at the time of departure. This will take approximately 45 minutes. Renter MUST read insurance terms and Basic Understanding of RV electrical systems file prior to showing up for pick up.
 

Restrictions

General Restrictions

  • Pets are permitted in pet friendly units only. Allowing a pet in your rental unit will result in a $500 deduction from your security deposit.
  • Smoking is not permitted in the rental units at any time. Allowing any passenger to smoke in your rental unit will result in a $1000 deduction from your security deposit.
  • Walking or standing on the roof is PROHIBITED.
  • Due to safety concerns, no appliance or equipment may be moved from its location.
  • Towing is NOT permitted at all regardless of the vehicle's class.

Travel Restrictions

  • Mexico: Traveling into Mexico is prohibited.
  • Death Valley: Traveling into Death Valley is prohibited from June 15 - September 15.
  • New York City: Traveling into any borough of New York City is prohibited. Same rule applies to major downtown metro areas of US and Canada
  • Traveling on any non-public roads (including but not limited to private-, dirt-, gravel-, or logging roads) is prohibited.

RUISI AUTO SALES INC is not responsible for any mechanical failure or accidents in a restricted area. In the event of damage to the vehicle in a restricted area, insurance coverage will be void and the Renter will be fully responsible for all costs related to repair.

Your Responsibilities while Operating your RV

Gasoline and Oil

  • The Renter is responsible for all gasoline, oil, and propane costs.

Maintenance

  • The Renter is responsible for checking engine oil and coolant levels regularly.
  • Please DO NOT ADD or CHANGE engine or generator oil without our authorization.We are well aware of your travelling plans and all necessary services performed prior to your departure.
  • It is the driver's responsibility to operate the vehicle in a safe manner and to exercise caution.

Mechanical Breakdowns/Repairs

  • All repairs exceeding $200 must be given prior authorization. An itemized receipt must be presented at drop off for reimbursement. Non-authorized repairs exceeding $200 may not be reimbursed.
  • If the Renter's RV vacation is interrupted by an automotive mechanical breakdown for more than 24 hours after contacting RUISI AUTO SALES INC, the Renter will be reimbursed for the greater of: (i) the daily rental rate, or (ii) expenses for hotel rooms up to $25 per person per night and car rental up to $50 per day to a maximum of $1,000. Receipts for all incurred expenses must be presented at drop off for reimbursement.
  • Defects related to radio/TV/DVD/GPS, generator, air conditioning, refrigerator, microwave, cruise control, awning, etc. are not considered mechanical breakdowns and are excluded from refunds.
  • Awnings are not covered under insurance. The costs for a damaged awning will be taken out of your security deposit. 2 people are required to set up/take down awnings.
  • Damage to the windshield will result in the Renter being charged for a replacement windshield.

In the Event of an Accident

  • The Renter must notify RUISI AUTO SALES INC within 24 hours. The Renter is responsible for obtaining a local police report as provided by the attending officer investigating the accident.
  • Pictures should be taken if at all possible.
  • Failure to comply will result in the forfeiture of your security deposit.

Parking/Traffic Violations

  • It is the Renter's responsibility to report and pay for any parking/traffic violations at drop off.

Vehicle Drop-Off

  • For your convenience, there is no set time to drop off the vehicle. Call us at least 24 hours in advance to schedule your drop-off time.
  • There is a mandatory cleaning fee of $75 that includes exterior cleaning,interior vacuuming, wiping down surfaces and waste water tanks flush.
  • The rental unit must be returned in the same condition in which it is rented including emptying the trash outside of our facilities .
  • In the event of excessive wear and tear (including but not limited to scratches, dings, dents, rips, stains, discolorations, the presence of bugs, etc.) $500 will be deducted from your security deposit.
  • The gasoline tank MUST be filled before return. The Renter will be charged $20 service fee in addition to actual fuel cost for unfilled gasoline tank.
  • Renter will be responsible for the actual propane cost. We will refill on board propane tank at $5 per gallon .
  • Travel above contracted miles will be billed at $.35 per mile.
  • Generator use will be billed at $1 per hour on a Class C models and $2 per hour on a Class A gasoline models.

Booking Changes and Cancellations

  • A $300 down payment is due at the time of reservation. This payment will be applied to your balance when you pickup the unit. In the event that you are unable to use the RV for the date for which it has been reserved, your deposit is transferable towards another reservation, provided the Renter gives 45 days notice.
  • We reserve the right to increase required reservation downpayment amount based on amount of weeks reserved.
  • No refunds will be issued for travels reserved during major holidays and special events dates.
  • No refunds will be issued for travels reserved between Memorial and Labor Day weekends.
  • No refunds will be provided if the Renter does not show up at all.

Short Notice Rentals

  • RUISI AUTO SALES INC will make every reasonable effort to accommodate short notice rentals.
  • Same day rentals and rentals with less than 72 hours notice require an additional $1,000 refundable security deposit.

Insurance and Liability for Damage

Accidental Damage Covered by Insurance

  • Motor vehicle accident
  • Vehicle theft
  • Vandalism
  • Fire

Damage NOT Covered by Insurance

  • Accidents or damages occurring while off public roads.
  • Accidents occurring while backing up or parking without a guide.
  • Damage caused by freezing of the vehicle's systems.
  • Deliberate or willful damage caused by Renter or guest.
  • Interior damage caused by Renter or guest.
  • Damage resulting from failure to maintain proper fluid levels.
  • Driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or other controlled substances.
  • Damage occurring while traveling in a restricted area.
  • Overloading the vehicle and exceeding the carrying or tow capacity.
  • Failure to use specified fuel.
  • Operation by anyone not declared a designated driver on the rental contract.
  • Damages or accidents caused during breach of rental contract or use of rented vehicle for illegal activities.

Supplemental Liability Insurance (optional)

  • Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI) may be purchased for an additional fee. SLI provides coverage in the event of an accident causing bodily injury or property damage to someone other than the Renter and passengers.

 

NOTE: No coverage is provided for travelers or their belongings in the rental unit under either policy.

All fees are subject to a New Jersey State Tax of 7%.

Mandatory "Domestic Security Fee" is assessed at the rate of $5 per rental day.
